Have you ever imagined mounting an over-sized, and very deadly insect and riding him into battle; or even into a cave? Probably not! Now you can have a new monster to be killed by.
This mod adds a whole new entity to Minecraft, which somewhat resembles a centipede, and it is called an Octapede! The Octapede comes with its own spawn egg and does not replace any other entity, but also spawns naturally in the world at all times of day!
This deadly eight legged creature will attempt to kill you unless you manage to tame it with Rotten Flesh. Once tamed, the Octapede can be ridden and used for speedy travelling and exploration!
Octapedes don’t require a saddle to be mounted; and, when riding it, you have great speed and easy maneuvering through caves, mountains, and forests! Just don’t try to ride it under water because it will drown.

This entity is part of the “monster” category, meaning that; although it won’t kill you once it is tamed, it will still be killed by Iron Golems and other player-defending entities.
