This is the first controllable vehicle which can be used in the water (or actually underwater) for Minecraft Pocket Edition. And yes, it is a submarine! You can control it but it does have limitations which makes it hard to maneuver. But let’s keep in mind that addons are still very limited and for that reason it’s actually quite impressive. Have fun exploring the ocean!

How do I use the submarine?
Squids are replaced by submarines. You can either go for a swim to try to find one or get one by using a squid spawn egg.
- iOS / Android: Long press on the submarine and press Mount to enter it
- Windows 10: Right-click it to enter it
Players will no longer drown. This had to be changed since otherwise it would make the add-on impossible to use for any longer periods of time.
If you find it too dark underwater then I recommend drinking a potion of night vision. I also recommend changing the video settings to the following:
- Camera Perspective: Third Person Back
- FOV (Field of View): 110 (default: 70)
- Brightness: Max
You can control the direction of the submarine by holding a key (also known as a carrot on a stick). I couldn’t find any way to go up/down so right now it seems only possible to stay at the bottom of the ocean floor.
